A Chinese girl at prison asked for a Buddhist person to visit her at the end of last year. Another Chinese girl in her unit, who had started to come to Bible study, invited her in the meantime to join the Precept group “How to Make Choices You Won’t Regret”. Now the new girl also trusts Jesus as her Lord and Saviour. “I trust Jesus, and I tell everyone about Him so that they can trust Him too!”

If you had sponsored that Bible study book for her, would you be satisfied with this ROI (Return of Investment)?

How about if our leaders could be set free to start new classes because one of their students had been discipled intentionally to take over? How about if now two instead of one class were allowing people to discover Truth for themselves?
This happened to me with the email class. Pray for Eleanor as she leads her first email Bible study with 8 students – and for me as I make the right decision to start up new classes with my freed-up time! Our Bible studies are perfect for multiplying!

There are many ways you can be part of building the Kingdom of God through Precept Ministries New Zealand – and it will involve your very heart!

1.    Pray for us: leadership, facilitators, students, finances.

2.    Ask us what is happening: in classes around the country, in prison, workshops, etc

3.    Sponsor Bible studies for prisoners and a ream of Gold paper for certificates.

4.    Our current office is outgrowing the space in our spare bedroom! The invitation to move into an office building in Manukau City before winter is very timely and most welcome.

5.    Can you help? Do you have one of the following talents or skills? 

•        Website building (make adjustment to ours)

•        Host or facilitate a Bible study

•        Stock take – efficient with numbers and excel (end of March/ early April, 4-6 hours)

By the way, we do not receive overseas funding, but are financially self-supporting. 53% of our income in 2009 came from donations. All money is raised by those whose hearts respond to the need to establish people in God’s Word to live as
exemplary followers of Jesus Christ,
studying the Bible inductively,
viewing the world biblically,
making disciples intentionally, and
serving the church faithfully
              in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank the Lord for:

-         His faithful provision in every way through His people
-         Drawing old and new leaders and students to study His Word faithfully

Pray for:

-       deep, life-changing impact of Precept Bible studies on 140 students in 25 classes with 15 current leaders
-         God’s continual clear guidance for 2010

Let’s keep working together in transforming our country from the inside out by the power of God’s Word!
